Factor 3 Workshop: "Is Social Media Right for B2B Organisations?"

The third in our series of Digital Workshops took place at our offices on Tuesday 20th September.  Entitled "Is Social Media Right for B2B Organisations?" the subject matter was decided, in true democratic fashion, by feedback from delegates that had attended the previous workshop.  Although 'Social Media' was the main topic, adding a B2B slant to the seminar was felt appropriate to generate a broader appeal given the potential audiences’ marketplace.

A genuine cross-section of organisations from across Gloucestershire were represented at the workshop.  Although not looking to be overly controversial, the presentation sought to add a note of balance and caution to the clamour for every business everywhere to embrace social media too quickly and so completely in all its forms.

Case histories and examples of both good and bad B2B activity were used to provide guidance for the assembled audience.  Practical demonstrations on how to get the best from Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter generated a lot of interest while the workshop was rounded-off with a Q&A session lead by the two presenters – Factor 3’s Head of Digital, Steve Lauder and Digital Development Manager, Alice Brown.

Some feedback from the workshop:

"It was a useful presentation. I picked up some useful tips to explore and was reassured that we are doing some things for the right reasons. Please keep me posted on future events."

"It was nice to meet you yesterday and the seminar was excellent."

"Just wanted to pass on my compliments on how well I thought your event went yesterday. Your two speakers gave very impressive presentations. Well done!"
