Our work with Cheltenham College was a text book demonstration of our brand planning model in action.
Under the guidance of a new senior management team and building on a heritage which stretched back to 1841, Cheltenham College was determined to rebrand and cement its position as one of the country’s leading independent schools.
It seems wholly appropriate that our work with College was a textbook demonstration of the value of our brand planning model. We literally went back to the drawing board, conducting workshops with the governors, teachers, parents and pupils to truly understand what makes College such a very, very special school. The resulting identity flowed naturally from that insight and on into everything from the prospectus and website to open day banners and hockey team posters.
Teachers teach and pupils study, leaving no free time in the school day to chat about brands. So we worked around their timetable, holding sessions before school began and after lessons finished; we went to assemblies, had lunches with teachers and organised evening events to present the design to teachers and contributing parents.
